How Does FROG Filter Mate Work?
FROG Filter Mate releases a low level of sanitizing minerals as spa water circulates through the filter area. These minerals work together with chlorine or bromine to kill bacteria, allowing you to maintain a lower chlorine or bromine level than you would with a traditional sanitizer-only program.
FROG recommends maintaining at least 1.0 ppm chlorine or bromine while Filter Mate is in use. The manufacturer's instructions identify a typical chlorine or bromine range of 1.0–2.0 ppm when using FROG minerals.

How Do You Install FROG Filter Mate?
For most hot tubs, insert FROG Filter Mate into the center core of the filter cartridge. Before installation, set the reminder dial for four months from the current date.
If the Filter Mate is too long, the stem can be shortened at the marked notches. For high-flow spas or filter designs where placing it inside the cartridge could restrict water flow, FROG provides alternative installation locations such as the filter well. Some smaller-cartridge systems can use the skimmer tray.
